ADGAS awarded ISO/IEC 27001 Certification
In a testament to the company’s advanced security model and policies and after a recent audit by the British Standards Institution (BSI), ADGAS has successfully been awarded the Information Security Management Standard (ISO/IEC 27001), which is a globally recognized and specifies best practices in information security management.
On April 6, 2015, ADGAS CEO, Mr. Fahim Kazim, received the certificate from Mr. Ahmad Al Khatib, General Manager, Assurance Middle East and Africa at BSI, in the presence ADGAS SVPs, as well as scores of division and departments’ managers. Commenting on the achievement, Mr.Fahim Kazim, ADGAS CEO, said: “The increasing need for information exchange and IT, particularly in a climate of threats and vulnerabilities in the sector, call for us to be proactive in providing reliable and secure information management systems. Gaining ISO/IEC 27001 Certification demonstrates that the security of ADGAS information has been addressed, implemented and properly controlled”.
“We are extremely proud to see the level that we have achieved in terms of information security, this is really a tangible proof of the efforts made by all employees, particularly the IT team, and thanks to BSI for the effort made to assure that we are on the right track and within the standard, and we are going to continue to raise the bar in the future to be more safer”.
